The Jr. QS Engineer is responsible for overseeing cost control, bidding process, and managing all costs related to building F&B fit-out and renovation projects, from initial estimates to final accounts. The role ensures that construction projects are completed within budget and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:


• Prepare cost estimates, BOQs, and cost plans during project planning, bidding, and track project expenditures.


• Provide quantity take-offs, and material costing based on drawings and specifications.


• Assist in evaluating contractor quotations, bids, and progress, variation order claims.


• Help monitor project budgets, variations, and cost control reports.


• Participate in site inspections to validate work progress and quantities.


• Coordinate with project engineers, architects, and suppliers to gather necessary cost and material data.


• Maintain accurate documentation of project expenses and cost records.


• Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, and local regulations.


• Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager.

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field


• Preferably a Licensed Civil Engineer (not required but an advantage).


• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in F&B, retail, or commercial fit-out projects


• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and quantity take-off software.


• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costing standards.


• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.


• Good communication, coordination, and analytical skills.


• Ability to work under supervision and meet deadlines.
