Job Summary:

Responsible in providing assistance in bidding process which includes quantity take-off, bid and plans interpretation, Bill of Quantity and other statutory requirements.

Job Description:

Assists in Preparing Quantity Take-Off

a. Accurately prepares estimates based on plans, specifications, and documents provided by the client.

b. Rehashes and performs take-offs for the required material quantities, whether based on plans or actual construction.

Plan Interpretation and Clarification

a. Reads and interprets plans and specifications to ensure accurate understanding and application in project tasks.

Prepares Bill of Quantity (Material Submittal, Material Ordering, Material Procurement)

a. Prepares submittals and procurement registers to be submitted to the designer/client for approval. Reviews, identifies, and researches potential material replacements for the project, subject to client approval.

b. Prepares material requests for ordering using the Purchasing and Warehouse System (PWS).

c. Evaluates and examines purchase, delivery, and operation requests to ensure they align with the budget.

Supplier and Subcontractors

a. Prepares and requests quotations from suppliers and subcontractors based on rehashed quantities, specifications, and scope of work.

b. Evaluates the cost proposals submitted by suppliers and subcontractors for suitability and accuracy.

Statutory Requirements

a. Prepares and reviews necessary documentation to secure the permits required for each project.

Prequalification Preparation and Submission

a. Prepares and submits all required prequalification documents for client evaluation.

Additional Prequalification Preparation and Submission

a. Ensures the timely preparation and submission of all prequalification documents required by clients.

Other Tasks

a. Performs other related tasks as assigned, in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Civil Engineer or BS Architecture
  • At least 2 years of experience as Quantity Surveyor
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
