Head of Business Development – Railways

We are now looking for a Head of Business Development professional in the area of Railways to drive client value creation, thought leadership, and industry solutions for products and services enabling business growth within the Market Area Oceania, South East Asia, and India (MOAI). The respective Business Builder has deep industry insights, strong relationships across the industry ecosystem, and a comprehensive understanding of key actors.

You willPosition Ericsson as a thought and technology leader, grow our business, and build strong customer relations. Set industry vision, Go to Market Model, thought leadership, and strategy in MOAI.Influence customer vision & strategy, drive Ericsson's involvement in crafting customer visions, strategies, and requirements. Lead industry business building and engagement to provide expertise for new solutions, break-ins, and other opportunities.

Support the Customer Units (sales teams) in MOAI with developing leads and funnel, acting as an industry expert and authority. Develop viable and competitive business and commercial models with Commercial Management. Drive negotiations with private procurement companies.

Understand public procurements and their implications. Define technical/development partnership requirements with Portfolio Management for industry-specific products. Define industry offerings strategies and roadmaps in MOAI.Qualify solutions in opportunities and develop industry business and commercial models.

Translate functional industry requirements into portfolio development.Recommend and drive techno-commercial value argumentation. Interface with other product lines within the Business Areas.

Collaborate and interface with respective Business Area organizations. Develop competence and promote knowledge sharing within MOAI.Share best practices within MOAI.Possess excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate a "Railway Evolution" vision to customers.

To be successful in this role, you haveSubstantial experience in the Railway industry, preferably from sales, presales, and delivery of complex projects, with at least 5 years in related roles and well-recognized in the market. Strong business understanding and critical thinking skills. Thought leadership in identifying short- and long-term priorities to improve business strategy, with excellent presentation skills and the ability to articulate a "Railway Evolution" vision.

A clear understanding of industry contract terms and conditions, with experience navigating public and private procurement processes. Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with experience working in diverse and distributed virtual teams. An understanding of cultural nuances in MOAI that influence defense market dynamics and customer interactions.
