Job Summary
The
Head of Commercial – Hotels & Resorts
is responsible for developing and leading the overall commercial strategy for AyalaLand Hospitality's growing portfolio of hotels and resorts. This includes overseeing Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, eCommerce, Distribution, and Business Development functions.
This executive role ensures that all commercial efforts are aligned to maximize revenue, profitability, market share, and brand strength. The Head of Commercial serves as a key member of the leadership team and plays a vital role in supporting the group's growth and positioning.
Duties & Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement an integrated commercial strategy across all hotels and resorts.
- Set clear performance goals across revenue, sales, marketing, and digital teams.
- Ensure commercial strategies align with market positioning, guest experience, and financial objectives.
Revenue Management & Distribution
- Oversee revenue management strategies to maximize RevPAR, occupancy, ADR, and total revenue.
- Lead the adoption and optimization of RMS, CRS, and channel management systems across properties.
- Manage distribution strategy (direct and third-party), including OTA, GDS, and wholesale channels.
Sales Leadership
- Direct the group sales strategy across key segments: Corporate, MICE, Leisure, and Travel Trade.
- Build strong relationships with key accounts and strategic partners.
- Guide property and regional sales teams in achieving sales targets and pipeline growth.
Marketing & Brand
- Oversee brand marketing, communications, PR, and advertising strategies.
- Ensure brand standards and storytelling are consistently applied across all touchpoints.
- Collaborate with marketing and design teams to position properties effectively in their respective markets.
eCommerce & Digital
- Drive digital performance through website optimization, direct booking strategies, SEO/SEM, and social media.
- Align digital campaigns with commercial priorities to improve conversion and reduce acquisition costs.
- Manage performance across , booking engines, metasearch, and digital partners.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Operations, Finance, Development, and HR to support overall business goals.
- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, market expansion, and pricing decisions.
- Support new property openings and pre-opening commercial readiness.
Team Leadership
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing commercial team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, performance, and continuous improvement.
- Attract and develop top commercial talent across functions and regions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Expertise in Revenue Management, Digital Commerce, Sales Strategy, and Marketing.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, and CRM platforms.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
