Chief Financial Officer

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company's operations and strategy. This includes financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and reporting. The CFO will provide strategic leadership and guidance to ensure the company's financial health, compliance, and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy aligned with business goals.
- Provide sound financial advice to the CEO, executive team, and Board of Directors.
- Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management to support strategic initiatives.
- Financial Management & Reporting
- Direct all financial activities including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Monitor financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Establish internal controls and ensure adherence to financial regulations and laws.
- Manage audits, tax planning, and compliance with local and international financial standards.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive analysis and strategies.
- Treasury & Cash Flow
- Oversee cash flow management, investments, and capital structure.
- Manage relationships with banks, investors, and external stakeholders.
- Optimize the company's liquidity position to support operational and strategic needs.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team to achieve departmental goals.
- Promote a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure staff are equipped with up-to-date financial tools, systems, and best practices.
- Strategic Partnership
- Collaborate with department heads to support decision-making through financial insights.
- Drive performance improvements and operational efficiency across the organization.
- Support fundraising, mergers & acquisitions, and investor relations initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA preferred).
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial management experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting standards, and risk management principles.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in financial management systems and ERP software.
