Job Title: Finance Manager (Start-up BPO Company)

Department: Finance and Accounting

Reports To: Chief Financial Officer / Managing Director / Country Manager


Job Summary:

The Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health and performance of the organization. This role manages the accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Finance Manager ensures efficient financial management to support organizational growth and sustainability.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Reporting

  • Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Ensure timely and accurate closing of books and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Monitor cash flow, investments, and liquidity to support business operations.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Lead the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
  • Provide financial insights and projections to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Track and analyze budget performance, identifying risks and opportunities.

Compliance and Internal Controls

  • Ensure compliance with local tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, government agencies, and financial institutions.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Review and update financial policies and procedures regularly.

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop finance and accounting team members.
  • Partner with other departments to provide financial advice and operational support.
  • Present financial reports and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Strategic and Operational Support

  • Participate in business planning, risk management, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Evaluate financial implications of new projects, contracts, and business opportunities.
  • Support automation and process improvement in financial systems and reporting.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • At least 5–8 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management, with 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations, taxation, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in financial systems (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, or Oracle) and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience gained from BPO/Outsourcing/MNC is an advantage but not a requirement
