The Finance Assistant will provide essential support to the Finance Department by handling day-to-day financial operations with a primary focus on cash management, bank transactions, preparation of vouchers, and maintenance of financial files and records. This role is critical in ensuring timely and accurate financial processing and documentation, supporting the smooth running of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cash Management:

  • Handle daily petty cash transactions, replenishment, and reconciliation.
  • Monitor and record cash inflows and outflows.
  • Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all cash transactions.

2. Bank Transactions:

  • Prepare and process bank deposits, withdrawals, and transfers.
  • Assist in monitoring bank balances and transactions.
  • Coordinate with the bank for any account-related issues or inquiries.
  • Maintain updated records of bank transactions in the accounting system.

3. Preparation of Vouchers:

  • Prepare payment vouchers, journal vouchers, and other relevant documents.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of supporting documents.
  • Assist in coding and posting transactions in the accounting software.
  • Facilitate timely processing of payments to vendors and employees.

4. File Maintenance and Documentation:

  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files and records (physical and electronic).
  • Archive financial documents according to company policy and compliance requirements.
  • Assist during audits by providing requested financial records and documents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting role.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
  • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel); experience with accounting software is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
