About the role
We are seeking an experienced Materials Engineer to join the team at EEI Corporation, a leading engineering and construction company. In this full-time position based in Pasay City, Metro Manila, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and structural integrity of our projects through the effective selection and application of materials.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting materials testing and analysis to evaluate the properties and performance of construction materials
- Collaborating with project teams to determine the most suitable materials for specific applications, considering factors such as strength, durability, and cost-effectiveness
- Developing and implementing materials management plans to ensure the proper handling, storage, and utilization of materials on construction sites
- Providing technical guidance and support to construction crews regarding the appropriate use of materials
- Staying up-to-date with the latest industry standards, regulations, and best practices in materials engineering
- Preparing detailed reports and documentation to document materials-related activities and findings
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- With 10 to 15 years of experience as a Materials Engineer in Building Construction and Required DPWH Certification.
- Proficient in conducting various materials testing and analysis techniques, including concrete, steel, and soil testing
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve materials-related issues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Familiarity with relevant construction codes, standards, and regulations
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
