About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to handle all Philippine tax filings, bookkeeping, and compliance for our business. While much of the work can be done remotely, you must be based in Metro Manila and available to attend BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other agency visits in person when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file all statutory tax returns with the BIR (VAT, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, etc.).
  • Ensure full compliance with Philippine accounting and tax laws.
  • Maintain accurate and updated financial records.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure proper documentation for all transactions.
  • Attend to in-person visits at government agencies (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, etc.) when needed.
  • Advise management on tax deadlines, compliance strategies, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA license preferred but not required.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in Philippine accounting and tax compliance.
  • Solid knowledge of BIR processes, eFPS filing, and government reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Must be based in Metro Manila and willing to travel locally for agency visits.

Contract Details

  • Flexible working arrangement (remote + on-site agency visits).
  • Competitive retainer or hourly rate (commensurate with experience).
  • Long-term contract available for the right person.
