Research and Development Officer

Supervises activities in the research and development department. Oversees personnel who utilize established mathematical and scientific techniques to compile and analyze data and write technical reports detailing procedures, outcomes and observations.
Responsible for research, planning and implementing new programs in the company. S/he oversees and monitors the entire process of creation or improvement for new products and programs from the initial planning phase until the production.
-Establish standard operating procedures for inspection, testing and clearance of starting materials, packaging materials, intermediate, bulk and finished products.
-Ensure all critical processes of the company are followed accordingly based on written procedures and policies
Keep updated about the industry and innovations in order to fit the customers' expectations and remain competitive on the market. S/he is led to work with other departments like the marketing or sales to define new project goals and gather the consumers' insights.
Implementing new research programs to develop or enhance the products or services' offer from the company.
Establishing a testing process with prototypes, following-up every step and reporting to senior management every technical issue.
-Develop new standards for production and design, with improvements as needed, and create testing protocols for implementation across all service lines
-Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing product to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables
-Monitor risk-management procedures, and maintain and analyze problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development
-Generating new product ideas and recipes
-Modifying and improving existing recipes
-Ensuring that strict hygiene food safety standards are met
-Identifying and choosing products from suppliers
-Monitoring the use of additives
