Overview

As part of the Think Forward Strategy, this leadership role focuses on delivering a differentiating customer experience by simplifying and streamlining finance operations, driving operational excellence, fostering a high-performance culture, and strengthening global banking capabilities.

The Vice President – Financial Accounting (Global Circle Lead) will oversee global teams responsible for financial accounting and reporting services for business partners. This includes reconciliations, break resolution, accounts receivable processing, month-end close activities, suspense account monitoring, reference data management, and ensuring compliance with financial documentation standards.

As a member of the global management team, you will play a key role in setting strategic priorities, shaping the organization of the future, and ensuring best-in-class service delivery through capability building, process improvement, and people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop high-performing finance teams across multiple global locations.
• Oversee financial accounting operations, including reconciliations, reporting, receivables, closing activities, and account monitoring.
• Translate strategic priorities into executable actions and deliverables while ensuring operational excellence.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS-EU, regulatory requirements, and internal control frameworks.
• Drive capability building, continuous learning, and professional growth within the team.
• Act as a role model by fostering accountability, collaboration, and a performance-driven culture.
• Standardize processes, lead continuous improvement initiatives, and reduce operational inefficiencies.
• Partner with senior stakeholders globally to align priorities, deliver services, and manage expectations.
• Support the adoption of modern ways of working and drive change management across finance operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3–5+ years of proven leadership experience in Finance Operations at a senior level.
• Strong background in Financial Accounting and Reporting within a global banking or financial services environment.
• Deep knowledge of banking products, financial instruments, and IFRS-EU standards.
• Preferably a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated success in managing cross-location teams of 20+ professionals.
• Proven track record of driving transformation, delivering under pressure, and implementing process improvements.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with global exposure.
• Project management expertise, particularly in continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
