Employee Relations Specialist

About the role
Responsible for cultivating positive employee experience through effective management of employee relations, labor compliance, engagement initiatives, and people-centric HR services. This role handles onboarding and offboarding processes, supports labor dispute resolution, ensures accurate employee documentation (including 201 files), and drives employee communication strategies to enhance workplace harmony and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle employee concerns and grievances while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. Conduct investigations, issue disciplinary notices, and maintain documentation of labor-related cases. Represent the company in labor hearings and ensure adherence to the Philippine Labor Code.
- Design and implement activities to promote a positive work culture. Conduct pulse surveys and analyze engagement data to recommend improvements. Organize employee events and recognition programs.
- Oversee pre-employment requirements and facilitate new hire orientation for a smooth onboarding experience. Coordinate with departments to prepare tools and workspace for new hires and conduct HR orientation sessions on policies and benefits.
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze attrition trends. Ensure proper clearance and turnover of assets, managing final pay processing and offboarding documentation.
- Maintain organized employee files and ensure compliance with data privacy laws. Monitor HR documentation, including memos and incident reports, to support audits.
- Assist in developing and communicating HR policies and procedures. Guide managers and employees on policy implementation and recommend updates as needed.
- Generate reports on employee relations, attrition, engagement metrics, and onboarding. Provide HR insights and dashboards to support management decision-making.
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of HR experience, focusing on employee and labor relations.
- Solid understanding of Philippine labor laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with effective conflict-resolution abilities.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and discreet, demonstrating integrity and confidentiality.
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
