Schedule: US Hours
OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Senior Employee Relations Manager to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our project delivery teams. The ideal candidate will have experience working as a senior consultant or manager in a reputable consulting firm, preferably a Big 4 firm. However, we are open to candidates from other backgrounds if they possess the necessary skills and qualities to excel in the following responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Lead onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure seamless transitions for team members.
- Coordinate with internal departments to provide necessary resources and access for new hires.
Resource Management
- Assist in the allocation of team resources, ensuring the right skills are matched to the right tasks and projects.
- Monitor workloads and help manage capacity to maintain a balanced distribution of tasks.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with each team member to provide guidance, support, and a platform for open communication. Address individual concerns, provide career development guidance, and establish a positive team rapport.
- Organize and facilitate team scrum meetings to gain insights into the workload and progress of each team member. Collaborating with team leads to allocate tasks effectively, address bottlenecks, and ensure work aligns with project goals.
- Address conflicts or challenges within the team promptly, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to resolve issues and maintain strong working relationships.
Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Generate and deliver status reports that are client-ready, presenting project progress, milestones, and potential challenges.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear and concise updates to ensure transparency and maintain client satisfaction.
- Monitor team and individual performance, highlighting areas for improvement and recognition.
- Generate regular performance reports and present key insights to team leads and upper management.
Client Interaction
- Assist in managing and resolving client escalations by collaborating with the appropriate teams to address issues promptly and effectively.
- Maintain a professional demeanor while ensuring client concerns are resolved to their satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the professional services team to address client inquiries, concerns, and escalations in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure client expectations are managed effectively and client satisfaction is maintained.
Technical Specialty
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and KPI/dashboard tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Ability to translate technical data into actionable business insights.
- Standardize processes for consistent reporting and performance tracking across all OSP activities.
- Benchmark KPIs against industry standards and lead initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and quality among internal teams and contractors.
Onboarding & Training
- Lead onboarding for new hires and provide necessary training.
- Working with team leads to develop training materials and resources for ongoing skill development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience in a senior consultant, operations management, project management, or a related role, preferably in a Big 4 consulting firm.
- Experience managing teams to support global project delivery.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in producing client-ready reports and presentations.
- Proficiency in project management tools, collaboration software, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and client escalations with tact and professionalism.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and team collaboration tools.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is a plus.
- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field (Business, Management, or related).
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum) preferred.
