FGS East Asia Technical Resource Management Inc. is hiring for a Compliance Officer
A DMW-licensed agency deploying to destinations worldwide including the Middle East, Europe, Asia, the USA, and the Pacific in different sectors such as, but not limited to, construction, healthcare, logistics, aviation, hospitality, and manufacturing.
Job Description:
As a Compliance Officer, you are responsible in ensuring that the company adheres to all legal, regulatory, and industry requirements related to overseas recruitment, deployment, and labor practices. You are a key in implementing compliance programs, monitoring regulatory adherence, and enforcing ethical and legal standards across all stages of the recruitment and deployment process. You are going to work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain operational integrity and uphold the company's commitment to lawful and ethical practices.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Compliance Support:
- Assist in monitoring compliance with Philippine labor laws, DMW (Department of Migrant Workers) regulations, POEA standards, ILO conventions, and destination country laws.
- Support the Compliance Manager in identifying applicable regulations and flagging compliance risks.
- Ensure timely conversion of job offers to OEC issuance for worker deployment.
- Help ensure alignment of internal processes with current legal and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in monitoring recruitment activities to confirm they meet DMW/POEA standards.
2. Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare, organize, and maintain accurate documentation of deployed workers, permits, contracts, and licenses.
- Assist in the preparation and timely submission of required reports to government agencies.
- Help manage records for audits and inspections conducted by regulatory bodies or clients.
- Maintain and update the Contracts Calendar for renewal tracking.
3. Policy Implementation and Training:
- Assist in disseminating compliance policies and procedures within the organization.
- Support training initiatives by providing staff with information and updates on compliance-related changes.
- Help monitor adherence to internal protocols across operational teams.
4. Risk Monitoring:
- Assist in identifying potential compliance risks in operations.
- Help implement corrective actions and risk-based controls as directed by the Compliance Manager.
- Support in gathering information for investigations or inquiries related to compliance issues.
5. Stakeholder Coordination:
- Coordinate with government agencies (e.g., DMW, embassies) for permits, documentation, and queries.
- Provide administrative support during dispute resolution or client coordination activities.
- Liaise with partner agencies to ensure consistent compliance practices.
6. Worker Welfare and Support:
- Assist in ensuring workers' documentation, contracts, and deployment processes adhere to ethical standards.
- Support handling of worker concerns and grievances related to compliance.
- Help gather feedback or data for periodic welfare checks and assessments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Public Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or administrative role, preferably in the overseas recruitment industry.
- Basic understanding of Philippine labor laws, POEA/DMW regulations, and international labor standards.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks under supervision.
