Marketing Assistant/Events Coordinator

Role Summary:
The Marketing Assistant / Events Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of events and marketing initiatives. This role involves managing event logistics, coordinating with vendors and sponsors, and ensuring seamless on-site execution. The position also assists in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote events and enhance brand visibility through digital and traditional channels. Additionally, the coordinator serves as a key point of communication between internal teams and external partners to align event and marketing goals and ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Event Management
• Organize, coordinate, and implement internal events, including team-building activities,
kickoff meetings, planning sessions, and SSI Cares initiatives.
External Event Coordination
• Plan and execute events with external partners, including IBM, Lenovo, Nutanix,
VSTECS, Alibaba, Red Hat, and distributors.
Marketing Reimbursements
• Manage marketing claims and reimbursements through our Business Partner portals.
Qualification:
• Must have a bachelor's degree in marketing, mass communication or advertising media
• At least 2 year of marketing event coordination/execution experience
• Proven experience in marketing, event planning, or related roles.
• Strong project management skills and attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including social media platforms and CRM
systems.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Organizational Skills
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet
deadlines.
• Multitasking: Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising
quality.
• Attention to detail: Being detail-oriented is important, as administrative assistants are often
responsible for maintaining accurate records and processing paperwork.
• Computer skills: Proficiency in using office software, such as Microsoft Office Suite
(Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and other relevant computer applications is typically
required.
