About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Market Research Analyst to support our real estate development team. This role focuses on market research, data analysis, and Excel-based financial/development modeling for residential and multifamily projects, especially in the Bay Area (California, US).

This position is ideal for someone with a strong analytical background, excellent Excel skills, and a passion for real estate markets and development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market and economic research to support residential and multifamily development strategies.
  • Analyze demographic, economic, and housing data to assess demand, trends, and feasibility.
  • Build and maintain Excel-based development and financial models, including feasibility, cash flow, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Provide data-driven insights to support site selection and acquisition decisions.
  • Track competitor projects, pricing, absorption rates, and pipeline supply using top research sources (CBRE, Colliers, JLL, CoStar, etc.).
  • Prepare market summaries, dashboards, and research reports for management and investors.
  • Work closely with the development, finance, and acquisitions teams to ensure research aligns with project goals.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Real Estate, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including advanced formulas, scenario modeling, and sensitivity analysis.
  • 2–4 years of experience in real estate market research, development analysis, or financial modeling.
  • Solid understanding of real estate fundamentals and residential development economics.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly using charts, tables, and written summaries.
  • Knowledge of Bay Area housing and multifamily markets is a major plus.
  • Experience with research tools like CBRE, JLL, Colliers, CoStar is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Must work 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST)
