About the role

Zirconia Inc' is seeking a skilled Cost Controller to join our dynamic finance team in our Makati City, Metro Manila office. As a Cost Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our cost accounting processes. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and development within our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Analyse and monitor costs across the company's operations, identifying areas for potential cost savings and efficiencies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual cost reports for management, providing insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cost control measures and budgeting processes
  • Maintain and improve the company's cost accounting system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy
  • Support the preparation of financial statements and cost-related information for audits and regulatory compliance
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new cost accounting policies and procedures
  • Provide training and guidance to other team members on cost accounting best practices

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a cost accounting or financial analysis role, preferably within the Accounting industry
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, methods and systems
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide data-driven insights
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations and accounting standards
  • Proficient in using financial software and data analysis tools
