Summary of the Role:

The Cost and Inventory Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's cost control processes and ensuring accurate, up-to-date inventory records. The role involves monitoring inventory movements, analyzing cost data, identifying variances, and implementing strategies to improve cost efficiency. This position ensures proper inventory valuation, supports financial reporting, and collaborates closely with operations, procurement, and accounting to maintain optimal stock levels and cost accuracy. The Cost and Inventory Manager also leads periodic inventory audits and develops procedures to strengthen internal controls related to costing and inventory management.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or any related field.

Proven experience in cost accounting, inventory management, or related roles (typically 3–5 years).

Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures, costing methods, and financial reporting.

Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Netsuite, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail. Ability to manage large data sets and conduct cost variance analysis.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Knowledge of audit processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements.

Preferably with experience in manufacturing, distribution, or retail industries.

Experience in the F&B industry is an advantage
