About the Role
We are seeking a Customer Service Representative who will manage customer bookings, coordinate shipment requirements, and provide exceptional service throughout the logistics process. This role requires strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, agents, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Handling & Bookings
- Receive and handle bookings from customers.
- Provide quotations to customers when applicable.
- Coordinate with sales teams or agents for pricing and booking requirements.
- Process bookings using the applicable system modules based on agreed terms with sales, customers, or agents.
- Indicate customer or agent instructions accurately in the system for proper internal coordination.
Communication & Coordination
- Maintain constant coordination with internal and external customers.
- Provide timely updates on cargo status, special instructions, and any service-related concerns.
- Send work alerts through applicable system modules to ensure smooth operations.
- Give customers regular reminders on required tasks to help avoid additional charges or delays.
Documentation & Operations Support
- Ensure that booking details and customer requirements are accurate and properly documented.
- Work closely with the operations team to align pickup schedules, delivery plans, and service instructions.
Billing & Collections Support
- Coordinate with accounting services for the preparation and release of billing invoices.
- Assist with collection efforts as needed to ensure timely payment from customers.
Qualifications
- Preferably with experience in customer service, logistics, trucking, or freight forwarding.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with logistics or booking systems is an advantage.
- Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
