Job Title: Transport Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Transport Manager to oversee the efficient and safe operation of our company's transportation department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and transportation management, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the movement of goods and materials to ensure timely delivery.
  • Manage and supervise a team of drivers, dispatchers, and other transportation staff.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of the company's fleet of vehicles.
  • Optimize routes and schedules to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints related to transportation services.
  • Prepare and manage the transportation budget.
  • Keep accurate records of transportation activities, including driver logs, vehicle maintenance reports, and delivery schedules.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the transportation department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation management, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in transportation management.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics and transportation operations.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in using transportation management software and other relevant technology.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
