Logistics Dispatch

Job Summary:

The Logistics Dispatch Coordinator & Transport Specialist oversees the end-to-end logistics operations of our company's distribution fleet. This includes dispatch scheduling, loading operations, driver supervision, fleet maintenance, compliance, and coordination with other departments to ensure smooth nationwide delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and dispatch trucks to meet delivery targets and customer deadlines
• Assign loads, routes, and driver shifts; monitor trip progress and resolve delays
• Oversee loading and unloading operations, ensuring accuracy and proper handling
• Prepare, review, and ensure accuracy of invoices, delivery documents, bills of lading, and other logistics paperwork
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules, repairs, vehicle inspections, and upkeep of company trucks
• Monitor vehicle registration, insurance renewals, legal compliance, and transport regulations
• Manage a team of drivers, including assignments, schedules, and performance monitoring
• Track fleet performance metrics (fuel consumption, downtime, repair costs, route efficiency) and provide reports/analysis
• Control maintenance and fleet operating budget; approve or recommend vendor contracts or spare parts procurement
• Collaborate closely with warehouse, sales, procurement, and accounting to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
• Identify process improvements within dispatch, routing, maintenance, and logistics operations
• Track delivery performance, route efficiency, and resolve operational issues promptly
• Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies
• Perform other logistics tasks as required by the company leadership

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
• At least 2 years of experience in logistics, dispatch coordination, or fleet management (preferably in distribution or FMCG)
• Experience supervising a team
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
• Solid understanding of vehicle mechanics, repair scheduling, and preventive maintenance
• Ability to read/interpret mechanical reports, maintenance invoices, and vehicle diagnostics
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with metrics/Key Performance Indicators
• Excellent communication, leadership, and coordination skills
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word; experience with logistics / fleet management software or ERP systems is a plus
• Familiarity with transport regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
• Based in or willing to relocate to Las Piñas
