IT Operations Senior Manager

IT operations management executes the daily operational activities needed to manage IT services and the supporting IT infrastructure. It also provides detailed technical skills and resources needed to support the ongoing operation of IT services and the management of the IT infrastructure. The manager is also in charge of security systems, such as firewalls, data protection controls, patching, encryption, vulnerability scanning, and penetration testing, and so on. It also manages the team that oversees the proper deployment, configuration, and functioning of these systems and managing the following areas: IT Helpdesk, End of Day Operations, IT and POS Support Group, Network and Telephony, IT Systems Administration, IT Security and IT Asset Management.

JOB DESCRIPTION

AREA 1: STORE AND BUSINESS SYSTEMS

Systems Architecture Design/Systems Selection

  • Maintains up-to-date awareness of standards, guidelines, industry trends, etc., across all architectural/infrastructure specialties.
  • Evaluates and selects, from existing and emerging architectural options, the architectural options that best fit the company's needs.
  • Educates project management team on both the need for architecture standards, as well as the specific infrastructure standards and guidelines.
  • Serves as the single-point-of-contact for all questions/issues related to the architectural design within a program.
  • Develops and executes a communication plan for architectural/infrastructure standards, architectural designs, key decisions/issues and architectural status within the company.
  • Provides input into the enterprise-wide infrastructure target state, particularly when the target state is influenced by a specific infrastructure.
  • Collaborates with corporate enterprise SBUs (engineering, customer service, operations, etc.) and other programs to ensure comprehensive/cohesive working solutions are designed for their program(s).
  • Stays up-to-date on LCC business initiatives and objectives, particularly as these relate to their program(s).
  • Defines a project plan for the architectural/infrastructural design of the company infrastructure.
  • Defines and gains concurrence on both the success criteria for the infrastructure design and the ways in which the performance of the infrastructure will be measured.
  • Responsible for delivering and documenting the architectural/infrastructural design that meets the company's infrastructure requirements.
  • Utilizes the appropriate engagement process to obtain resources from corporate enterprise SBUs.
  • Provides technical architectural oversight to multiple project efforts.
  • Assists program management with obtaining adherence to architectural/infrastructure standards as required.
  • Reviews acquisition and build-out of the infrastructure in alignment with the planned solution.
  • Serves as an expert contact for questions on architectural/infrastructure design.

AREA 2: PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Project Execution

  • Assembles the individual project teams and oversees the implementation of project plans.
  • Participates in defining project management standards/guidelines for IT.
  • Manages changes in project scope and resource requirements.
  • Collaborates with key customers to ensure client expectations are in line with goals.
  • Manages costs and resources to maintain budgets.
  • Reports to client sponsors and IT management.
  • Works with IT Procurement/Asset Management/Legal for contracts and SLAs.
  • Ensures business value of products and services.
  • Drives issue resolution and facilitates after-action reviews.
  • Shares lessons learned and collects/analyses actual costs, time, and scope.

Project Planning

  • Defines an approach for implementing the business case into an implementation plan.
  • Develops and oversees detailed project plans.
  • Completes risk assessments and defines engagement criteria.
  • Defines communication and sponsorship guidelines for project stakeholders.
  • Defines and gains concurrence on success criteria for delivery.
  • Works with key participants to develop the change management plan.

AREA 3: STRATEGIC PLANNING AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES ASSESSMENT

Strategic Program Alignment

  • Participates in the definition of strategic technology-related business directions.
  • Aligns programs with business direction and long-term technology trends.
  • Jointly develops business cases that show ROI and cost-benefit.

Leadership

  • Provides leadership and direction in developing short- and long-range plans.
  • Manages and supervises assigned operations to achieve goals.
  • Actively participates with Management to determine information requirements.
  • Leads the design, programming, and administration of IT systems.

Process Management

  • Coordinates department activities with other departments and SBUs.
  • Ensures assigned areas are performed within projected budgets.
  • Leads implementation and maintenance of systems.

People and Development

  • Demonstrates and reinforces leadership behaviors and people skills.
  • Manages, motivates, and evaluates IT staff, including recruiting, developing, and coaching.
  • Communicates and implements corporate policies.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or any related field
  • Job Experience
  • At least five (5) to ten (10) years of related experience or in a similar capacity
  • Licenses and Certifications
  • Related certification is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php90, Php100,000.00 per month
