JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager, Treasury Services - Remittance Operations Services is responsible for assisting the management in ensuring the safety of funds under his/her custody. He/She is also responsible for ensuring the security of daily cash remittances and other bank transactions. It is also responsible for promoting a high-performance culture among the Remittance Operations Services team by adopting best people management practices that emphasize empowerment, quality, productivity standards, and goal attainment
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Monitor and track the daily cash remittance from selling activities of LCC stores, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
· Oversee the daily pick-up of funds by banks from LCC stores and ensure adherence to the scheduled pick-up days.
· Verify that the amount deposited to the bank aligns with the cash summary and deposit slip.
· Coordinate with Treasury Corporate on matters concerning cash pick-up by banks and deposits.
· Ensure that all Treasury personnel under your supervision comply with the daily reportorial requirements for cash deposits.
· Oversee the movement of cash in all Treasury Offices and maintain accurate and updated logs.
· Ensure the security of funds through continuous monitoring of all Treasury Office locations' physical security needs.
· Guarantee the availability of bills and coins needed by the Treasury Offices for smooth cash operations.
· Maintain effective communication with banks regarding securing change (bills & coins), bank pick-up schedules, and updating bank records.
· Ensure proper documentation of all transactions in the Treasury Offices in accordance with corporate policies, treasury best practices, and accounting standards.
· Supervise and lead the Treasury Personnel under your jurisdiction, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
· Ensure that staff under your supervision adhere to corporate treasury policy guidelines on cash handling.
· Recommend training programs and modules for Treasury Remittance Operations Services section personnel.
· Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Treasury Remittance Operations Services section personnel, ensuring they meet established performance standards and objectives.
· Identify potential staff under your supervision for promotion or transfer to retain key personnel and talents needed for Treasury Remittance Operations Services.
· Promote a high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and goal attainment among the team.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Educational Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum Job Experience
3-5 years of managerial experience in remittance operations and cash management within the retail industry or a similar sector.
Training Requirements
Relevant training is a plus.
License and Certifications (Eligibility)
Certified Treasury Professional or, other relevant certifications are a plus.
