Position Summary
The HR Standards and Performance Specialist will be a key member of the HR department, reporting to the General Manager or CEO. This role is primarily focused on supporting the implementation, administration, and enforcement of our performance management systems and ensuring strict adherence to all employment laws and company policies across our global operations. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, meticulous, and policy-driven professional dedicated to upholding our organizational standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerformance Management (40%)
- Support the management of the company's end-to-end performance appraisal cycle, ensuring clear communication, timeliness, and objective evaluations.
- Assist in developing and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) for individual and team performance.
- Support managers in conducting effective performance reviews, setting clear expectations, and utilizing performance management tools.
- Support the administration and strict execution of Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), monthly and annual evaluations, ensuring all documentation is thorough, defensible, and meets all legal standards.
- Help analyze performance data to identify trends and assist in reporting.
HR Standards, Compliance & Policy (40%)
- Act as a key point of contact for compliance matters, with a strong understanding of Quebec labor law.
- Help develop, review, and enforce all company HR policies and procedures. Assist in keeping the employee handbook up-to-date for all jurisdictions.
- Assist with regular audits of HR processes (hiring, termination, payroll, benefits) to ensure 100% compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Support the management of employee relations issues, assist with investigations, and maintain detailed documentation.
- Assist in liaising with legal counsel to manage employment-related risks and ensure all company actions are legally sound.
- Assist with all compliance reporting requirements for all teams.
General HR & Administration (20%)
- Help maintain accurate and confidential employee records and system data.
- Partner with the HR team to communicate and enforce policies, acting as a firm guardian of company standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. HR certification is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in an HR role, preferably with a focus on compliance, employee relations, or performance management.
- Hands-on experience with HR compliance and employee relations procedures.
- Experience in a multi-jurisdictional environment is a strong asset.
- Experience with performance management systems and disciplinary procedures.
- Skills & Character:
- Strong knowledge of employment law and compliance, particularly in Quebec.
- Policy-Driven: A strong-willed individual who believes in the importance of rules and applies them consistently.
- Professional & Firm: Comfortable having difficult conversations about policy, enforcing rules, and holding employees accountable.
- Meticulous: Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in documentation, legal filings, and policy language.
- Resilient: Ability to operate effectively in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment and manage conflict directly and professionally.
- Language: Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
Working Conditions
- Location: Work from home
- Travel: Minimal travel may be required for team engagements.

- Salary range: Php 50,000 to Php 70,000
