Qualification and requirements:
Primary Responsibilities
HR Services Management:
· Provide guidance to HR Generalists and Benefits Analysts on complex, sensitive HR and benefits issues, including employee relations, compliance, and terminations.
· Educate clients on employment law compliance and talent acquisition strategies for managerial and professional roles.
· Analyze trends in compensation and benefits to propose competitive programs that attract and retain top talent.
· Oversee EPLI claims, including document gathering and position statement development.
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, and recommend best practices.
· Guide clients on employee performance, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
Benefits Administration:
· Lead efforts in configuring and maintaining electronic benefits enrollment platforms.
· Manage data file feeds and integrations with insurance carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.
· Monitor and maintain ACA compliance reporting, including 1095-C form generation and IRS e-filing.
· Support annual benefits renewal processes by updating plan designs, rates, and eligibility rules.
· Provide subject matter expertise on payroll audits for benefit deductions and ensure accurate payroll processing.
· Configure and administer Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Health Savings Accounts (HSA), and 401(k) plans.
Team Leadership:
· Partner with leadership to execute HR and benefits strategies, including recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
· Develop and implement learning and development programs for team members.
· Oversee the recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of HR and benefits staff.
· Establish and monitor team KPIs to align with business objectives.
· Manage team performance, providing mentorship and executing disciplinary actions as needed.
System and Project Management:
· Troubleshoot and resolve system errors or data discrepancies in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
· Spearhead benefits-related projects, including online enrollment, ACA compliance, and data imports/exports.
· Prepare custom reports for management, vendors, and clients
Preferred Qualifications
· College bachelors degree in a related field and/or 8-10 years of experience in a senior-level HR/Benefits role.
· SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, or SHRM-CP certification.
· Proven experience in benefits reconciliation and administration.
· Specific experience with PrismHR software a plus.
· Strong knowledge of regulations and laws related to benefits administration.
· Experience with EPLI claims and US Professional Employer Organization (PEO) environments
