We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Service Engineer to join our team. The role involves the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of marine electronic, communication, navigation, and automation systems on vessels. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with strong technical aptitude, able to work independently and as part of a team, and willing to support clients in various port and shipyard locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission marine communication, navigation, automation, and satellite systems on vessels.
  • Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair of marine electronic equipment including radar, GPS, sensors, and satellite communication systems.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance, periodic inspections, and statutory tests (e.g., radio surveys, annual performance tests for VDR/S-VDR).
  • Provide technical support and after-sales service to clients, ensuring operational reliability and compliance with maritime regulations and safety standards.
  • Prepare service reports, documentation, and coordinate with clients and internal teams for project completion.
  • Support spare parts coordination, equipment calibration, and liaise with vendors or suppliers as needed.
  • Stay updated on new technologies and solutions in the marine electronics field to provide value-added service to clients.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Communications Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related technical field.
  • Experience in marine electronics, telecommunications, or similar industries is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of marine communication/navigation systems (e.g., radar, AIS, GPS, satellite communication) is preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and repair skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in ports, shipyards, and onboard vessels; willing to travel locally and occasionally internationally.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision and manage multiple service assignments.
