Building Engineer (Residential & Property)

Job Description

We are looking for a Building Engineer to manage the daily operation, maintenance, and repair of our residential and property facilities. The role ensures that all building systems are safe, reliable, and efficient while providing a comfortable living environment for tenants and residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of residential building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, elevators, and generators).
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and functionality of all facilities.
  • Respond promptly to tenant and resident maintenance requests, addressing issues efficiently.
  • Implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and utilities.
  • Supervise and coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and service providers for repairs and projects.
  • Monitor building utilities and recommend energy-saving initiatives.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the Property/Building Manager in overseeing building operations and improvements.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Professional license (Engineer) is an advantage but not required.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in residential or property management engineering.
  • Knowledgeable in building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire safety, and structural maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to handle tenants and coordinate with management.
  • Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, or holidays if needed.
