Quantity Surveyor 

The Quantity Surveyor (Tender) will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for tender submissions, ensuring that all aspects of project's costs are thoroughly assessed and presented.

Qualification:

  • Preferably with a degree/diploma in Engineering/Quantity Surveying, or any other related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on tendering and cost estimation.
  • Professional membership with a recognized surveying organization is advantageous but not required.
  • Exceptional numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong and organizational abilities with the capability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to identify potential issues and provide solutions.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (AutoCAd, Planswift, Bluebeam).
  • Head Office based with occasional site visits.
  • May be required to travel to project sites and client meetings as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand project requirements and scope of works.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for all aspects of construction projects, including materials, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive cost database to support accurate cost estimating.
  • Conduct market research to obtain up-to-date pricing information and assess cost trends.
  • Provide detailed breakdowns and justifications for cost estimates to support tender submissions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and clarify project details.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to understand project conditions and requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to address any queries or concerns.
  • Maintain accurate record of all tender documentation, including cost estimates, correspondence, and changes.
  • Ensure all cost estimates comply with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements.
  • Implement best practices and quality assurance measures to maintain high standards in tender preparation.
