Job Summary

As a Maintenance Supervisor within our Engineering Team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our cafe's equipment and systems. You will oversee a team of technicians, manage maintenance schedules, and implement innovative solutions to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive preventive maintenance programs for all cafe equipment, including but not limited to:
  • Espresso machines
  • Grinders
  • Refrigeration units
  • HVAC systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Plumbing systems
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and address them proactively.
  • Oversee the repair and replacement of faulty equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to cafe operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and spare parts.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Recruit, hire, and train maintenance technicians.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback to team members.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Possess a deep understanding of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Troubleshoot complex equipment failures and implement effective solutions.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and address any hazards.
  • Develop and implement emergency procedures.
  • Cost Management:
  • Monitor and control maintenance expenses within budget constraints.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in a food service or hospitality environment.
  • Strong technical skills, including knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
