Engineering and Services Maintenance Planner Supervisor

I. Job Summary

The Engineering and Services Maintenance Planner Supervisor (MPS) is responsible for delivering a set of planned maintenance calendar and activities for the Factory equipment that will be used as reference for execution of scheduled maintenance activities. He/She must work with Process and Equipment Engineering, Manufacturing and Planning for schedule alignment so that unplanned disruptions to manufacturing operations are minimized. He/She must collaborate with Process and Equipment Engineering continuous improvement of Maintenance Activities that would result to minimum unplanned equipment downtimes due to unscheduled breakdowns/repairs.

II. Roles and Responsibilities Summary

Leadership & Team Management

• Manage stakeholders and meet/exceed their requirements.
• Drive the group to establish a culture of "Zero Waste mindset" through minimization of unplanned repairs.

Engineering Operations

• Coordinates with Supply Chain and Manufacturing departments for operational support
• Direct the planning and execution of preventive maintenance programs to ensure manufacturing equipment are kept in optimal working conditions.
• Supervise the implementation of Maintenance Management Systems (e.g., CMMS) and ensure accurate data recording and reporting.
• Drive for machine reliability improvements thru use of proper data analytics based on collected equipment performance information.

Project Management

• Collaborates with all key stakeholders to ensure Schedule Maintenance and executed as per plan (PAS metrics).
• Ensure compliance with product and process specifications, safety and quality standards are maintained during and after each PM activities.

Facilities & Equipment Oversight

• Manage the preventive and corrective maintenance and improvement of manufacturing equipment.

Compliance & Safety

• Ensure Compliance and Adherence to Equipment, Chemical and OHS standards.
• Conduct process hazard assessments and implement engineering controls to mitigate risks.

Financial & Resource Management

• Monitor departmental budgets and implement cost control measures.
• Review expenditures and identify opportunities for operational efficiency and savings.

Continuous Improvement

• Drive Cost Saving initiatives to reduce cost of maintenance thru effective use of spares and PM tools

III. Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering (Licensed Engineer preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Process and Equipment Engineering management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role
• Proven experience in manufacturing process control and equipment maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of factory automation system, statistical process control, International Quality Standards (ISO, CE, RoHS, etc.) and problem-solving methods.
• Familiarity with IWS, Manufacturing Execution Systems and other operations data automation systems (software and hardware).

IV. Preferred Skills

· Technical and Engineering skills

• Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Knowledge: Understanding of machinery used in adhesive production, including mixers, reactors, and packaging equipment.
• Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Experience with maintenance strategies to minimize downtime.
• Adhesive Manufacturing Processes: Familiarity with formulations, curing processes, and quality control specific to adhesives.
• Environmental Compliance: Knowledge of regulations related to chemical manufacturing (e.g., EPA, OSHA).

· Managerial and organizational skills

• Budgeting and Cost Control: Experience managing operational budgets and capital expenditures.
• Vendor and Contractor Management: Negotiating and managing service contracts and equipment supplier

· Analytical and Problem solving skills

• Root Cause Analysis: Proficiency in identifying and resolving equipment and process issues.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Using KPIs and maintenance data to guide improvements
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with production, quality, safety, and R&D teams.
• Reporting and Documentation: Clear communication of maintenance schedules, compliance reports, and project updates
• Approve acceptance reports and ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities.
