
District Business Development Manager

Job Summary:
This role will lead the strategic and operational management of key distributor relationships, optimizing digital sales channels, and ensuring alignment with brand, commercial, and channel objectives. The ideal candidate will combine strong commercial acumen with a deep understanding of digital marketplaces, B2B platforms, and omni-channel retail environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Distributor Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for eCommerce distributors.
- Develop joint business plans and lead annual negotiations with key distributor partners.
Monitor and evaluate distributor performance against KPIs and growth targets.
Channel Strategy & Execution:
Design and implement eCommerce channel strategies for distributor-managed platforms.
- Identify and capitalize on digital sales opportunities, including assortment expansion, pricing, and promotions.
Ensure consistent brand representation across all distributor eCommerce touchpoints.
Sales & Performance Management:
Own the sales forecast, budget, and P&L for the distributor eCommerce channel.
- Analyze performance metrics and deliver actionable insights to improve conversion, revenue, and customer experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, supply chain, finance, and sales) to ensure operational excellence.
Platform Optimization
Guide distributors in improving platform usability, SEO, content quality, and merchandising.
Recommend enhancements to product content, digital shelf optimization, and customer engagement strategies.
Compliance & Governance:
Ensure distributor activities comply with pricing, MAP (minimum advertised price), and brand guidelines.
- Monitor grey market activities and partner with legal/commercial teams as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Digital Commerce, or related field (MBA a plus).
- 5 years of experience in eCommerce or digital sales, with at least 3 years managing distributor or B2B digital channels)
- Strong commercial, negotiation, and account management skills.
- Deep understanding of eCommerce platforms, D2C/B2B models, and digital channel dynamics.
- Experience working with FMCG
- Analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, GA4).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Experience working with marketplaces (e.g., Shopee, Lazada, Tiktok Shop) via distributors.
- Knowledge of digital trade marketing and campaign execution in a distributor-led environment.
