Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Test Manager / QA Lead to drive end-to-end test strategy and execution across multiple phases of testing, from unit to non-functional testing. This role requires a deep understanding of core banking and loan management systems, strong leadership skills, and the ability to align testing efforts with program roadmaps and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Leadership:

Lead and oversee end-to-end (E2E) test strategy including Unit, Integration, System Test, SIT, UAT, and Non-Functional Testing (e.g., Performance). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program roadmaps and milestones.

  • Domain Expertise:

Must have proven delivery experience in Core Banking Systems and Loan Management Systems, including transitions from legacy to modern platforms and managing complex integrations.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

Build and maintain strong relationships with Business Units and IT stakeholders, ensuring seamless communication and alignment throughout testing phases.

  • Strategic Testing:

Apply Risk-Based Testing principles to develop and tailor test strategies based on specific project risks and needs.

  • Release & Defect Management:

Lead planning and coordination of releases, manage defect lifecycle, and oversee test environment readiness.

  • Automation & Performance Oversight:

Manage and provide strategic direction to automation and performance testing teams, driving efficiency and quality.

  • Quality Control:

Review test deliverables for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with BDO Test Standards and maintaining consistent quality across all phases.

Required Skills & Experience (Non-Negotiable):

  • Proven leadership in test strategy and execution across multiple test phases.
  • Solid experience with Core Banking and Loan Management Systems.
  • Strong experience in stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination.
  • Hands-on experience with Risk-Based Testing methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding of release planning, defect management, and environment coordination.
  • Experience managing QA automation and performance teams.
  • Ability to enforce and maintain quality standards across test phases.

Preferred Skills & Experience (Nice-to-Have):

  • Proficiency in test management tools (e.g., ALM, JIRA, ADO).
  • Experience with automation tools like UFT and Tosca.
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools such as LoadRunner, JMeter, or equivalents.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TMMi, ISTQB CTAL – Test Manager).

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 3-6 months

Pay: Up to Php170,000.00 per month
