Data Tester

Work Set up: Hybrid (3x a week)

Work Location: Ortigas, Pasig Employment Type: Contract ( 6 months/1 year subject to extension/Absorption)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform data validation and ETL testing to ensure accurate extraction, transformation, and loading of data between systems.
• Develop and execute SQL queries and automated test scripts (Hive QL, Python, Greenplum SQL, etc.) for data accuracy checks.
• Verify data consistency and quality across different sources and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Trello).
• Conduct non-functional testing such as load, performance, and stress testing on data systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and support data quality improvements.
• Participate in test planning, test case design, and test automation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in data testing or quality assurance.
• Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in data validation and ETL testing.
• Strong understanding of data testing fundamentals, methodologies, and techniques.
• Proficient in SQL scripting and comfortable with tools like Hive QL, Greenplum, Power BI, and Python.
• Experience with bug tracking and issue management tools (Jira, Bugzilla, Trello).
• Exposure to non-functional testing (load/stress/performance testing) is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
