Job Description: QA Manual Tester

Location: Makati or Ortigas

Work Setup: Hybrid (Fully Onsite for First 3 Months)

Overview

We are looking for an experienced QA Manual Tester with 5+ years of QA experience and the ability to perform basic to intermediate automation testing. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality software delivery through comprehensive manual and automated testing. This role will require full onsite work for the first three (3) months, transitioning to a hybrid setup thereafter.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Create detailed and structured test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, smoke, UI/UX, and exploratory testing.
  • Log, track, and retest defects using standard defect-tracking tools.
  • Perform automation testing as needed (e.g., creating simple scripts, maintaining existing test scripts, using automation tools/frameworks).
  • Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers for issue resolution.
  • Prepare clear documentation of test results and overall quality status.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous QA process improvement.
  • Ensure high-quality deliverables within agreed timelines and standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manual software testing.
  • Ability to perform automation testing (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar tools).
  • has a background working in a banking industry is a PLUS.
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
  • Experience using test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Azure DevOps).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to report onsite in Makati or Ortigas for the first 3 months.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments is a plus.

Nice-to-Have

  • Intermediate proficiency in automation testing frameworks and scripting.
  • Basic SQL knowledge for backend validation.
  • Experience with API testing tools like Postman.

Work Arrangement

  • First 3 Months: 100% Onsite (Makati or Ortigas)
  • After 3 Months: Hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days WFH, or per client agreement)
  • Schedule: Dayshift
  • Contract Type: Project-Based (subject for extension and/or absorption)

Job Type: Fixed term

Contract length: 3-12 months

Pay: Php50, Php70,000.00 per month
