We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst with a passion for working with data and strong numerical skills to join the Assessment Measurement department of Cambridge Assessment English. The Senior Data Analyst will provide data analysis and psychometric support for a variety of English language tests.

What will you do as a Senior Data Analyst?
Reporting to the Senior Data & Analytics Manager, your accountabilities will include:

• Carry out and interpret the results of core operational data analysis for Cambridge English Exams. Analysis includes standard and ad-hoc processes around trialling, marking, grading, malpractice detection and post exam evaluation.
• Identify innovative solutions to improve the processes and systems used for data analytics: designing, developing and testing new analysis and data processing routines for departmental use.
• Conduct small scale research projects and provide analysis for larger research activities to ensure that specific processes and technology areas support the quality of Cambridge English products.
• Provide data analysis and interpretation to support projects and new business initiatives.

An ideal candidate has the following qualities:

Essential:

• A degree, or equivalent qualification, in statistics, mathematics, computing, psychology, language testing, educational measurement, or social sciences with a strong analytical focus.
• Ability to program in an analytical language (e.g. SAS, Python, R, SQL).
• Familiarity with research methods and statistical analysis procedures
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and influencing skills; able to communicate data insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• The ability to work as part of a team

Desirable:

• Knowledge of statistical methods used in assessment and educational measurement
