• Regularly review, cleanse and reconcile configuration item (CI) data to identify discrepancies, gaps and quality issues. This includes partnering closely with Technology Service Operations, Network, Digital and IT teams to validate and correct data, ensuring the CMDB remains accurate and reliable.


• Supports the adoption and optimisation of BMC Helix Discovery and ingestion processes, such as spoon jobs, to automate and streamline data entry. The analyst will ensure that discovered data aligns with agreed CI classes, attributes and relationships, while also working with our Managed Service Partners to onboard and validate new data sources into the CMDB.


• Monitor the end-to-end lifecycle of CIs, from creation and modification through to retirement, ensuring data accuracy and timeliness. This also includes tracking dependencies and relationships between CIs so that service models and impact analysis accurately reflect the technology environment.


• Build and maintain reports and dashboards using BMC Helix Dashboards. These reports will provide both regular and ad hoc insights into CMDB health, compliance, service impact and emerging trends, enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions.


• Enforce CMDB data governance standards, CI class definitions and data dictionaries, while maintaining clear and up-to-date documentation, processes and guidelines. The analyst will also assist in audits and compliance checks to ensure alignment with ITIL practices.


• Contribute to ongoing process optimisation across data ingestion, reconciliation and reporting. This includes identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency, as well as sharing lessons learned and best practices across teams to continuously improve CMDB management.

Knowledge & Experience


• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; OR equivalent professional experience.

• 5–10 years' experience in Data Analysis, CMDB, or ITSM domains.

• Experience with BMC Helix ITSM, BMC Helix CMDB, Helix Discovery, Digital Workplace (DWP), Dashboards (mandatory).

• Familiarity with MSP-run ingestion processes (e.g., spoon jobs) and integration workflows.

• Strong skills in SQL and data transformation for extracting and reconciling configuration data.

• Experience with BI and visualisation tools (Helix Dashboards, Power BI).

• Proven ability to analyse large and complex datasets, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.

• Understanding of Telco infrastructure components (networks, servers, applications) is an advantage.

• Familiarity with ITIL v4 practices (esp. Configuration Management, Change, Incident, Problem).

• Strong communication skills, able to translate technical data insights into business outcomes.

• Growth mindset, adaptability, and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
