IT Governance and Asset Officer

The IT Governance and Asset Officer is responsible for the end-to-end management of IT assets and vendor engagements, ensuring optimal value, lifecycle control, and compliance across all technology acquisitions and contracts.

This role requires hands-on execution in asset tagging, inventory validation, TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) calculations and End-User utilization, while also handling contract renewals, SLA tracking, and vendor benchmarking.

The position plays a critical role in supporting the company's core operations in meat distribution—covering IT hardware, software, and service that support business needs. The officer will serve as a central liaison between company and IT Vendors, ensuring alignment between vendor performance and business needs. The role also contributes to designing and implementing process improvements, including automation of IT asset and vendor workflows.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain a complete, accurate inventory of all IT assets—hardware, software, and services. Actively coordinate with technical support, development, and infrastructure teams to ensure all items are tracked from acquisition to retirement.
• Create and manage IT Asset Lifecyle as per industry standard particularly ITIL.
• Conduct vendor assessments and benchmarking to support procurement decisions and contract negotiations. Evaluate existing suppliers based on performance, pricing, SLA compliance, and market competitiveness, proposing improvements or replacements where necessary.
• Manage contract lifecycle activities for all IT-related agreements, including software subscriptions, hardware warranties, support services, and license renewals. Ensure timely renewal and renegotiation of expiring contracts, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service levels.
• Track and monitor SLA performance across all vendors, ensuring that service commitments are met and documented.
• Use TCO insights to advise on purchasing decisions and justify budget requests. Collaborate with the finance and operations departments to align TCO data with financial forecasts and ROI analyses.
• Provide comprehensive reporting on IT assets, contracts, and vendor performance for management review. Consolidate input from IT support, infrastructure, development, and cybersecurity teams to present a holistic view of the IT landscape.
• Design, plan, and implement process improvements in IT asset and vendor management, including the introduction of automation where possible

Job Qualifications:

• Must have 1-4 years of experience in the same role
• Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science
