About the role

Zirconia Inc' is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Government Compliance Officer to join our team in our Makati City, Metro Manila office. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring the company's compliance with all relevant government regulations and tax obligations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Monitoring changes in government regulations and tax laws that impact the company's operations
  2. Preparing and filing all necessary government reports and tax returns accurately and on time
  3. Liaising with government agencies and authorities to address any compliance-related inquiries or issues
  4. Developing and implementing internal control processes to mitigate compliance risks
  5. Providing guidance and training to relevant departments on compliance requirements
  6. Staying up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations
  7. Collaborating with the finance and legal teams to ensure a cohesive approach to compliance

What we're looking for

  1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a government compliance or tax-related role, preferably within the accounting or finance industry
  2. Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
  3. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
  4. Proficient in the use of tax and compliance software
  5. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with government authorities and internal stakeholders
  7. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
