Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining governance frameworks that ensure IT services, assets, and access controls operate in alignment with corporate policies, compliance standards, and business objectives. This role provides strategic oversight of ITIL-based service management, IT asset lifecycle management, and access management controls, ensuring that all IT operations are efficient, secure, compliant, and value-driven.

Key Responsibilities

Governance Framework Development & Management:

· Develop and maintain IT governance frameworks aligned with ITIL, COBIT, and ISO standards.

· Define and oversee IT service management (ITSM) processes including Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.

· Establish and track service performance KPIs (SLA compliance, MTTR, backlog rates) and drive continuous improvement.

· Facilitate regular process audits, service reviews, and post-implementation evaluations to ensure alignment with business needs.

· Incorporate Data Governance Lifecycle:

o   Data Collection

o   Processing

o   Sharing or disclosure

o   Data Storage

o   Retention

o   Destruction

Asset Management (ITAM)

·       Govern the full lifecycle of corporate physical and logical assets—from procurement to retirement—ensuring accuracy, accountability, and compliance.

·       Identify and validate all information assets and critical resources of the company which pertains, but not limited to hardware, software and other data sources.

·       Define and implement appropriate classification scheme on the information assets and critical resources of the company to ensure that these are appropriately classified based on confidentiality and criticality.

·       Develop, manage and maintain an accurate and up-to-date register or inventory of all information assets and critical resources all through out the lifecycle of the asset.

·       Define and implement adequate protection addressing the risks associated with the defined data types based on classification, criticality and business value.

·       Ensure accurate and timely reporting and that data completeness and quality issues are quickly identified and escalated to the responsible data or process owner.

·       Prepares monthly and quarterly asset inventory reports for management consumption

Continuous Improvements

· Lead initiatives for automation, workflow optimization, and analytics-driven governance.

· Improvements are backed by data from ITIL processes

Qualifications & Skills

Must Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related IT field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of overall work experience in IT, with at least 3 years specialized in IT governance, IT risk management, or IT audit.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing ITIL Processes.
  • Professional Certifications (e.g., ITIL, CISA, COBIT)

Nice to have:

  • Hands-on experience with IT governance standards and frameworks such as ISMS, ITIL, and ISO 27001.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Certificates).

Soft Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex governance concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • High level of integrity and professional accountability.
