Position: Category Manager (MRO / Indirect Procurement)

Work Setup: Hybrid (4 days onsite, 1 day WFH per week)

Schedule: Monday–Thursday (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM), Friday (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM)

Contract Duration: 1-Year Initial Contract

Salary: Up to ₱95,000 / month

About the Role

We are seeking a Category Manager (MRO / Indirect Procurement) to support the Global Commodity Manager in executing sourcing strategies, supplier management, and contract negotiations. The role focuses on ensuring supply assurance, driving cost efficiencies, and maintaining supplier performance for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) categories.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing

  • Develop and implement local commodity strategies aligned with global procurement goals.
  • Lead RFP/RFQ processes, supplier evaluation, and selection based on scoring criteria.
  • Negotiate procurement agreements including Master Agreements, Statements of Work, and Change Orders.
  • Conduct cost analyses, benchmark pricing, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide sourcing expertise for MRO categories across multiple business units.

Category Management

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on MRO commodities, trends, and best practices.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, planning, finance, and other teams.
  • Develop communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed on supplier and procurement updates.

Supplier Management

  • Manage supplier relationships focusing on supply continuity, cost efficiency, and contract compliance.
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and lead improvement programs.
  • Resolve supplier disputes and ensure service quality.

Contract Management

  • Review and manage contract lifecycles from negotiation to execution.
  • Ensure compliance with pricing, terms, and deliverables.
  • Support management with quarterly reports and supplier scorecards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required (Business or Engineering preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Category Management or Strategic Sourcing (MRO or related commodities).
  • Proficient in SAP and/or Oracle sourcing & contracting tools.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, vendor management, and contract formulation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
