We are seeking a skilled and dynamic part-time SEO-focused Test Prep Writer to join our team as a contractor. The ideal candidate will be a creative and strategic thinker who thrives in developing engaging, data-driven content focused on education-related topics for a U.S.-based audience. This role involves conducting thorough research on assigned topics, editing published articles, as well as outlining/writing new articles. The successful candidate must demonstrate strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple content writing assignments simultaneously while meeting deadlines. This is an online, remote contract role. All work is paid work is paid hourly.
Project Description
- Research and write about education-related topics for a US-based audience
- Seamlessly incorporate marketing claims and product descriptions into copy
- Create outlines for articles based on research and/or a content brief
- Incorporate keywords while maintaining high readability
- Evaluate competitors and ensure content can beat them in the rankings
- Write unique copy in every article
Required Skills:
- Working hours must include at least 2 hours of overlap with the 1PM – 8 PM Pacific Standard Time window
- Minimum 3-5 years of writing SEO content
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, grammar, and consistency
- Demonstrated success in researching and publishing content
- Experience optimizing content for both user experience and search engine performance (on-page SEO)
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Contentful, etc.)
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and prioritize tasks across multiple assignments
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Prior work experience in a remote setting
- Familiarity with supportive tools like Ahrefs, SEMRush, Canva
