Our Client

In this position, you will be assigned to our Australian based client. They are a Xero Advisor Certified Practice and they provide high quality financial management services to small. Medium and large organizations, supporting them to operate, report and plan effectively.

You will be responsible for implementing high-quality accounting practices and quality communication both within the team and with clients to meet deadlines and achieve high customer satisfaction.

Your Responsibilities

Accounts Payable

· Process/review payables for AFG clients

· Train bookkeepers to improve accuracy

· Review batch payments, upload to bank, notify clients

· Verify invoice coding and follow up on payables

Accounts Receivable

· Review invoice coding and follow up on receivables

Payroll

· Process/review payroll on time

· Notify clients for authorization

· Lodge PAYG summaries, verify salary sacrifice compliance

Bank Reconciliation & ReceiptBank

· Perform/review bank reconciliations

· Follow up on missing documents

· Monitor ReceiptBank and assist clients

Month End

· Process journals and adjustments

· Reconcile accounts and run reports

· Prepare Xero Workpapers

Other Tasks

· Lodge BAS/IAS and FBT returns

· Manage superannuation payments

· Assist with budgets, grant acquittals, audits

· Maintain asset register and depreciation

Support & Training

· Document and improve client procedures

· Train and support bookkeepers and clients

· Provide quality feedback

Customer Service

· Handle client enquiries and Freshdesk tickets

· Collaborate with Account and Practice Managers

· Train clients on timely information submission

Your Background

· years bookkeeping/accounting experience including BAS, FBT

· Skilled in Xero; certification preferred

· Strong numeracy, reconciliation, and attention to detail

· Intermediate Excel/Google Sheets skills

· Tertiary accounting qualification

· Experience in accounting practice and with other software (Xero Workpapers, Google Suite, Freshdesk, Jetpack, ReceiptBank, Slack) is a plus

· Good initiative, prioritization, communication, and interpersonal skills
