Makati City, National Capital Region, Philippines JCC Asia Back Office Inc. Full time ₱1,200,000 - ₱2,400,000 per year

JCC Asia Back Office Inc. is seeking a highly motivated individual with proven mid-level accounting capabilities to fulfil the above new role based in Makati, Philippines. The role will support the existing team within our Accounting Department and the Atlas Board in delivering on its company objectives through ongoing effective oversight and management of the day-to-day operations of JCC Asia Back Office Inc.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Director of Finance Services in the daily management of bookkeeping services provided to clients in Australia.
  2. Support the Revenue Manager in the daily management and operations of the remuneration (REM) Team.
  3. Assist in the development and refinement of task guides, process documentation, and training materials for both the Bookkeeping and REM Team.
  4. Prepare invoices, perform bookkeeping, and generate financial reports for a diverse portfolio of clients serviced by an Australian bookkeeping firm, including but not limited to corporate, small business, and individual accounts.
  5. Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
  6. Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
  7. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  8. Adhere to and promote compliance with established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of financial outputs.
  9. Review and validate the work of junior team members to ensure quality and accuracy, providing constructive feedback and support where needed.
  10. Assist in onboarding and mentoring new staff by sharing knowledge, best practices, and training materials.
  11. Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  12. Provide regular updates to the Director of Finance on team performance, key deliverables, and any identified risks or improvement opportunities.

Candidate Personal and Professional Attributes:

  1. Strong knowledge of basic revenue reporting procedures and principles.
  2. Good management skills and capabilities.
  3. Experience with remuneration reporting.
  4. Excellent Microsoft excel skills.
  5. Accuracy and attention to detail.
  6. Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills.
  7. Bachelor's Degree or College Degree in appropriate accounting field of study.

Key Selection Criteria

  1. Bachelor's Degree or College Degree in appropriate financial / accounting field of study, with a minimum of one (2 year's (+) experience in a related field of employment is preferred).
  2. Willing and able to learn the use of industry specific software and operating systems.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of Company procedures, practices, and services inclusive of confidentiality both corporate and staff services management.
  4. Proven performance in reporting skills and producing high-level and accurate reporting documents.
  5. Excellent English communication skills (verbal & written) with strong interpersonal skills.
  6. Excellent attention to detail, problem solving, leadership and analytical skills.
  7. Ability to multi-task, manage time and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  8. Ability to work independently in a team environment.
  9. Willingness to work within the Australian (Victorian) Public Holiday calendar.
  10. Comprehensive computer skills - familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel
  11. Proven performance in delivering high level work ethic.
