Responsibilities

  • Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations, minimizing no-shows
  • Assist in processing patient documents and ensuring accurate record-keeping
  • Handle billing inquiries and facilitate insurance verification
  • Provide timely communication with patients, addressing their questions and needs
  • Support healthcare providers with administrative tasks, including document management and report generation
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations, safeguarding patient information
  • Conduct research and compile information as requested by healthcare professionals
  • Collaborate effectively with a team to ensure high-quality service delivery

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant or in a similar administrative role in healthcare
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare operations
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and medical billing software
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
  • Preferred: Experience with virtual communication tools and project management software
