This is a remote position.

Virtual Rockstar is looking for a Medical Virtual Assistant to join a compassionate and dedicated pediatric therapy team based in Hawaii. This role is vital to the daily operations and includes managing all appointment authorizations and provider credentialing, assisting with billing, and supporting general administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all appointment authorizations, including submission, tracking, renewals, and follow-up with insurance providers.

  • Handle all provider credentialing and recredentialing processes with insurance companies and licensing entities.

  • Communicate with families professionally and compassionately regarding denied or delayed authorizations.

  • Assist with billing tasks, including claim submission, corrections, and payer communications.

  • Perform general administrative duties such as:

    • Electronic faxing

    • Filing and organizing records

    • Sorting and responding to emails

    • Other office tasks as needed to support daily operations

  • Maintain accurate and well-organized records related to credentialing, authorizations, billing, and administrative workflows.

  • Collaborate with therapists, administrative staff, and external contacts to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Requirements

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

  • Strong ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills, including when discussing sensitive insurance issues with families.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Prior experience with credentialing, authorizations, billing, or insurance coordination is highly preferred.

  • Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Must be available to work 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM HST, Monday through Friday.
    No exceptions to this schedule will be made.
