Job Summary:

The Safety Practitioner is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of workplace health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment. This role involves monitoring compliance with safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a culture of safety within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform risk assessments and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and follow up on corrective measures.
  • Provide safety training and awareness programs to employees and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific safety regulations (e.g., DOLE, OSHA, ISO 45001, EMS).
  • Maintain safety documentation, records, and reports.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a safety-first culture.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response activities.
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to continuous safety improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field (preferred).
  • Relevant safety certifications required (e.g., BOSH/COSH, DOLE-accredited OSH Practitioner, First Aid, LCM).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in workplace safety or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of safety laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and audits.
  • Good communication and training skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php30,000.00 per month
