Safety Supervisor

Purpose of the Position: Reporting to the Project Manager, the Safety Supervisor is accountable and responsible for the preparation, development, and implementation of Safety, Health, and Environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organize the emergency response and preparedness team and prepare instructions and procedures.
  • Provide and coordinate the conduct of training, certification, and assessments for drivers and operations including maintenance personnel as required by the standard and company safety and health programs.
  • Conduct regular safety orientation/induction to newly hired employees, visitors' suppliers, and service providers.
  • Conduct daily toolbox talks and regular toolbox meetings.
  • Conducts risk and hazard assessment, and recommends corrective/preventive measures.
  • Safe keep record of incident/accident and investigation results.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly reports to client/customer, DENR-EMB/MGB requirements.
  • Monitor loading and explosives delivery.
  • Issuance and records keeping and safety tools equipment, Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Assist supervisors and personnel in the preparation and implementation and job hazards risk assessment, hazardous waste management, and disposal.
  • Monitor noise, air, and water quality and implement necessary action.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in any Engineering course or related field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of work-related experience
  • An accredited practitioner from the Department of Labor and Employment and Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) / Mines and Geoscience Bureau (MGB)
  • High level of interpersonal skills and integrity;
  • Creative, forward thinker.
  • Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets
  • Ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • A reliable professional who follows the organization and department procedures; complete tasks promptly.

Willing to work in Lagro, Quezon City.
