The Learning and Development (L&D) Officer – Pharmacist plays a key role in designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance the knowledge, skills, and compliance of Southstar Drug employees, particularly in the areas of pharmacy operations, regulatory standards, and customer care. The role ensures that all pharmacists and pharmacy staff are trained in alignment with company policies, DOH/FDA regulations, and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and facilitate training programs for pharmacists, pharmacy assistants, and store staff.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis and recommend relevant programs to support employee growth and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the Pharmacy Operations team to ensure all pharmacy personnel meet licensing and training requirements.
  • Design modules related to Good Pharmacy Practice (GPP), drug handling, and customer service excellence.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through post-training assessments and on-site performance observations.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal audit standards.
  • Support HR in onboarding new pharmacy employees and developing continuous professional education (CPE) programs.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacist – required
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy
  • Minimum of 2–3 years experience in pharmacy operations, training, or learning and development.
  • Strong facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of DOH, FDA, and PRC guidelines governing pharmacy practice.
  • Proficient in MS Office and e-learning tools (e.g., Learning Management Systems).
