Learning and Development Associate

Job Purpose:
The HR Operations and Learning Specialist will primarily support the planning, coordination, and delivery of employee training programs.
This role also contributes to key HR operations by ensuring smooth and engaging onboarding experience, supporting employee engagement initiatives aligned with the organization's CORE values (Collaborate, Agile, Reliable, Execute), providing administrative support to the Compensation & Benefits team, and assisting in recruitment coordination.

Key Accountabilities:
Learning & Development (Primary Focus):
- Collaborate with Senior L&D and Subject Matter Expert to design and implement training programs.
- Coordinate with external training providers, including preparation of cost estimates and logistics.
- Develop and manage communication materials for L&D initiatives such as LIAM, monthly recaps, service awards, birthday announcements, and PH and AU holiday.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding activities, including preparation of onboarding kits, scheduling and coordination of orientation sessions, and administration of post-orientation evaluations and welcome announcements.
Engagement:
- Enthusiastically participate in planning and implementation of Company engagement activities and internal communications.
- Support initiatives that foster a positive, inclusive and value-driven workplace culture by embodying Loanworks' CORE Values: Collaborate, Agile, Reliable, Execute.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Provide administrative support in employee programs including the Wellness Programs, Reward & Recognition, and Performance Management, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
Recruitment:
- Assist in sourcing and calling candidates, especially during periods with high volume of job vacancies, to ensure timely fulfillment of hiring needs.
Performs other duties as needed to support HR operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, Human Resources, Business Management or other related fields
- At least two years of experience in a similar role
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledgeable in digital technology, e-learning (e.g., Articulate, Canva, MS Stream) and on-demand / agile learning tools and methodologies.
- Basic proficiency in presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint) and LMS platforms
- Enthusiasm for employee development and growth
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Curiosity, creativity, and a passion for teaching and facilitation
