Finance Manager

Job Description:

• Responsible for the day to day activities of Finance Team
• To assist with monitoring the financial performance of the company
• To assist with the preperation of current financial reports and forecast for future business growth including budgets. income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and reports
• To assist in the management and effecting of all accounting procedures and systems being implemented by the company
• To participate in the assesment of the long term financial trends and review prospects for future growth of income and investments
• To assist in the review of reports and analyse projections of sales and income against actual figures and suggest methods of improving the planning process
• To assist in meeting own KPI targets and those of the team as a whole
• To assist in the smooth running of the team
• To contribute to training and development of the team
• To assist in achieving maximum profitability and growth in accordance with company's plans.
• To assist in compliance with all the financial and legal requirements, responsibilities and obligations.
• To assist in the preparation of current financial reports and forecasts for future business growth including budgets, income statements, balance sheets, tax returns and reports for Government regulatory agencies and financial management reports to ensure compliance with financial and legal requirements, responsibilities and obligations, including statutory obligations.
• To assist in the management of recruitment of team members, subject to agreed criteria.
• To train and appraise individual team members to ensure targets are met.
• To assist with the performance and development of team members
• To assist in reporting (content and format as agreed) on a monthly basis.
• To assist with developing plans for team activities to include financial strategy to achieve agreed targets and improve planning
• To manage the preparation and agreement of individual action plans and targets for all team members
• Conduct presentations and proposals to enable the team to deliver accurate and competitive financial reports and plans
• Delegate authority and responsibility to team with supervision, accountability and review
• Set an example for team members of commitment, financial activities, work ethics and habits and personal character
• Maintain accurate financial and other records
• Control expenses to meet agreed budgetary controls
• Adhere to all organization policies and procedures
• Interact and co-operate with the all members of the organization and its suppliers and clients/customers.

Qualifications:

• Must be a graduate of BS Accountancy, with a CPA is a advantage
• Minimum of 5 years and more experience in accounting field
• Can handle full set of Accounting Systems, process and controls
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in accounting or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical and evaluation skills with attention to detail.
• Must have a technical knowledge in setting up an Accounting System.
• Can handle full set of Accounting systems, process and controls.
• Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, and regulations.
• Can work well under pressure and with minimum supervision
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills
• Proficient in MS Office, Google Workspace, and Accounting software.
